The Applied Geoinformatics for Society and Environment (AGSE 2019) conference will take place from 11-14 September in Stuttgart. Co-organised by Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, the ICA Commission on SDI and Standards and the Laboratory for interoperable, and open-source Geospatial Software, Data and Standards (HFT ICA-OSGeo-Lab), this year's event will focus on the following fields:

Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) and Crowdsourcing,

Earth Observation,

Geo-portals and Geodata Infrastruktures, collaborative data custodianship.
GODAN's Chief Scientist, Dr Suchith Anand, has been invited to deliver a video presentation on “Bridging the Geospatial Digital Divide,” which will be aired and discussed on the second day of the conference.
As part of the event, there will also be a Workshop on "Agricultural monitoring with Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 data" which might be of interest to our wider network.
