GODAN, alongside hosts Montreal International and The McGill University, are pleased to be partners of the fifth annual symposium of the Innovation for Sustainable Development Network, which will be held this year in Mexico City at the Universidad IberoAmericana, on 12-15 November.
This year's event centres around the topic of "Social innovation and Financing for the SDGs," focusing on the role of innovation in supporting healthier and more sustainable agro-food systems. The symposium is a space for dialogue and knowledge transfer between all actors related to innovation and entrepreneurship un support of the UN SDGs. Its goal is to identify the most effective areas where scientific knowledge can be applied to solve some of the most important and urgent public policy challenges in the Americas, and Mexico in particular.
The Innovation for Sustainable Development Network (inno4sd), who host the event, is a global initiative created in 2015 in Brussels with funding from the European Commission through Horizon 2020. Its mission is to bring together networks, entities and individuals with the aim of reducing knowledge fragmentation and supporting multiple agent’s collaboration in order to promote decision making based on (scientific) evidence, whilst engaging policy makers, research & development and businesses to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
