The annual Middle East Food Security Expo and Summit (FOODSEC),  took place from 24-25 March 2021.

The event provides an inter-regional platform, presenting developments in Food Security at all levels; from local, to global markets and from an interdisciplinary and systemic food systems perspective.

Offering a platform for cross-sectoral collaboration, the event featured participation from thought leaders, government decision makers, investors, entrepreneurs, corporates, researchers, technology experts, and innovators, from across the food supply chain.  The key objective of the Summit was to work towards sustainable food security by bringing key partners across the public and private sector, encouraging integration and creating partnerships and alliances to support food security policies and strategies in the region.

During the Summit, discussions and presentations took place around food processing, technologies, product development, regulatory requirements, investments in food parks, agro-processing clusters, and infrastructure development; and showcased milestones by companies in the fields of Agritech, Aquaculture, Hydroponics, Saline Irrigation, Vertical Farming and more.
