The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), established in 2004, is a consortium of 46 African universities operating within 22 countries, spanning the African continent. Science and Education Ministers from many African countries, over 85 Vice Chancellors from universities across Africa, as well as key scientists from across the World came together for the Sixth African Higher Education Week and the RUFORUM Biennial Conference. The conference was held from 22-26 October 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya.  The main topic of discussion was: “Aligning African Universities to accelerate attainment of Africa’s Agenda 2063”. The meetings were hosted by the Kenyan Ministry of Education and 12 RUFORUM member universities in Kenya. Suchith Anand (GODAN) was invited to give a keynote speech on the topic of  “Harnessing the Digital Potential to Drive Higher Education Transformation in Africa”. GODAN looks forward to building more collaborations and synergies in capacity development with RUFORUM universities.
