GODAN Launches The Road Ahead

GODAN is about to embark on a new and exciting period of transition and transformation. This marks the next level of service and responsiveness for the initiative, lifting support to GODAN’s growing network of almost 800 partner organisations from 105 countries worldwide.
In preparation for this new phase a request for proposals (RFP) has been released which offers opportunities to host and/or fund the GODAN Secretariat until 2022. The call goes out to all GODAN partners and can be seen as a PDF document below:
For those interested in submitting a proposal it should be sent to GODAN at: hostingrfp@godan.info
The deadline for submitting hosting and funding proposals aimed at supporting the GODAN Secretariat has been extended. The deadline is now 18:00 (GMT) Friday 9th November 2018. Due to technical reasons it has been agreed to extend the deadline beyond the original 1st November. If there are any questions about this extension to the deadline applicants can send enquiries to hostingrfp@godan.info
In July 2018 at The Road Ahead meeting in London GODAN partners, representing public, private and non-profit organisations agreed that the GODAN initiative should enter into a transition phase in 2019, to secure funding, and should enter a transformation phase from 2020-2022. This endorses the business plan, which highlighted focusing on sustainable operations to advance strategic goals, including extending capabilities and capacities to generate, disseminate and use open data for agriculture and nutrition.
